Keep records updated and accurate, ensuring that they reflect any changes in vehicle status.
Ensure log book is maintained for loading and disposal of vehicles from the bond area.
Ensure stock entry of new/used vehicles is done in a timely manner.
Stay informed about and adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations governing bonded vehicles.
Ensure timely lodgement of import license to Fiji Revenue and Customs Services (FRCS).
Lease with shipping agents and Fiji Ports for clearance of new/used vehicles being imported by Carpenters Motors for retail.
Ensure that all bonded vehicles comply with customs, tax, and legal requirements.
Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for bonded vehicles, such as bonds, permits, and customs paperwork.
Organize export of vehicles to outer islands ensuring regulatory requirements is in compliance with the import regulations of the territory.
Ensure that all documentation is complete and in order for inspections and audits.
Conduct thorough inspections of bonded vehicles to verify their condition, identity, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Inspection and visitation to the bond area must be done on a regular basis.
Address any discrepancies or issues promptly, coordinating with relevant authorities when necessary.
Maintain open lines of communication with customs officials, government agencies, and stakeholders to facilitate the release or transfer of bonded vehicles.
Address inquiries and provide information to relevant parties as needed.
Generate detailed reports on the status, condition, and history of bonded vehicles and ensure that the report is kept safe.
Implement security measures to prevent unauthorized access to or tampering with bonded vehicles.
Oversee and coordinate the proper release or disposal of bonded vehicles in accordance with regulations.
Implement corrective actions and follow-up measures as needed.
Stay current with changes in customs, taxation, and trade regulations affecting the automotive industry.
Requirements:
Trade Diploma in Customs.
Minimum 5 years’ work experience in a similar role with over 3 year’s managerial experience.
Candidate with previous Customs experience and knowledge on vehicle import/export will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of customs, taxation, and regulatory requirements specific to the automotive industry.
Familiarity with security measures and safety protocols for bonded vehicles.
High level of communication skills (written and verbal).
High level of analytical and presentation skills.
Have good computer skills (e.g. general MS Office).
Must have a valid group 2 driving license.
