South Sea Cruises Group (SSCG) is Fiji’s most experienced and award-winning cruise operator offering a range of award-winning products and services throughout the stunning Mamanuca & Yasawa Islands. South Sea Cruises operates a modern fleet of fast catamarans, an overnight cruise ship, a modern sailing catamaran, several speed boats, and tender boats as well as Fiji’s two most popular day trip islands.

We are currently seeking to recruit an IT Support Officer to be positioned at our Port Denarau base. This position reports directly to the IT Manager.

Provide software support for all network software.
Creating and maintaining user accounts to various users.
Troubleshooting network and computer problems
Installing and updating software on existing and new computers
Contribute to the effective running and maintenance of network infrastructure.
Maintain SSCG phone system Computing equipment checks, repairs and maintenance.
Inspect, maintain and support SSCG computer assets, ICT and CCTV equipment.
Conduct support and repairs in a timely manner, using escalation processes where necessary.
Monitor printers and conduct basic fault finding and toner replacement.
Monitor toner stock levels
Collection of computers and components from suppliers
Delivery and pick-up of faulty hardware to/from place of repair
Liaise with repairers to ensure repairs conducted in a timely manner.
Assist with the return of ICT equipment upon end of lease.
Organize and tidy computer and network cabling Support and assistance to ICT Manager
Provide computing and technology support for all staff through the help desk in a timely manner including but not limited to Office 365.
Provide professional, effective, and efficient administrative support which results in the delivery of high-quality services to SSCG.
Assist with maintaining an accurate register of equipment and resources, including their location.
Maintain the ICT Office area, keeping it organized and secure!
Assist with ICT related projects.
Keeping up to date with emerging technologies given the rapidly changing IT environment and update ICT Manager.
Perform any other duties as required by the ICT Manager.

Required Qualifications and Skills

The applicant must have a Diploma or higher in Information Technology from a recognised institution with at least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
Competent in using Microsoft excel for data analysis.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Creative thinking skills and ability to solve problems.
