LECTURER EDUCATION (PRIMARY) – Fulton Adventist University College

VACANCY 

The successful candidate will be expected to:
• Accept and carry out teaching responsibilities assigned by the Head of Department in consultation with the Deputy Principal and under the remit of the Academic Committee
• Prepare and distribute module descriptors in accordance with procedures
• Prepare examination papers in consultation with the Department and in accordance with procedures outlined in the Academic Bulletin
• Assess students in accordance with the assessment procedures stated in the module descriptors, marking and cross marking assignments and examination promptly and submitting final assessment results to the Course Director In accordance with procedures as outlined in the Academic Bulletin
• Attend all Department meetings and contribute positively to departmental planning under the leadership of the Head of Department and Course Director
• Teach Education subjects at the undergraduate/post-graduate level
• Conduct and publish research
• Facilitate supervised reflective learning in practical education
• As part of the Performance Management Process, critically reflect on one’s own performance, including a response to student feedback
• Teach, as needed in the Department’s off-campus program
• Be involved in the broader life of the Church
• Respect, support and practice the ethos of Seventh-day Adventist education

The successful candidate will have most of the following:

• A Masters Degree or higher
• A record of excellence in teaching
• Some developed research interests
• Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment
• An interest in and enthusiasm for exploring new ideas in education
Salary is according to the denominational scale. Applicants must have the right to work in Fiji
