SITE ENGINEERS & PROJECT ENGINEERS – Hall Pacific

JOB DESCRIPTION & SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
The Opportunity:

Fiji-based dredging, civil construction and marine civil company Hall Pacific is seeking Site Engineers and Project Engineers who are residing in Fiji to assist in delivering marine infrastructure and climate change adaption projects in Tuvalu.

The successful applicants will work a four-weeks-on and two-weeks-off roster, fly-in fly-out from Nadi or Suva. All food, accommodation and transport will be provided.

Key duties:

Lead site crews with adherence to the company’s business conduct standards.
Communicate potential issues affecting project timelines promptly to the Project Manager.
Play a key role in tender handovers, actively managing project risks and ensuring implementation of risk mitigating measures.
Participate in regular Client/Consultant meetings as needed.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of and proficiency in using the company’s Standard Forms, and effectively communicate and instruct others on their application.

About you:

Car licence (essential)
Proficient in MS Word and Excel (essential)
Survey basics – ability to take and transfer levels using a dumpy or laser level (essential)
Ability to read and understand engineering / construction drawings (essential)
Proficient in MS Project
Proficient in GPS/Total station setout/pickup
Proficient in CAD or 12D
