Job Title: Reservations Staff

The Reservations Staff is responsible for managing all aspects of the reservation process, from initial inquiries to final bookings and confirmations. They provide exceptional customer service to ensure a seamless experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

– Handle incoming reservation requests via phone, email, and online channels
– Respond to inquiries about room availability, rates, and amenities in a timely manner
– Utilize reservation software to check availability, create new bookings, and manage reservations
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date reservation information in the system
– Communicate with guests to confirm reservation details, special requests, and arrival/departure times
– Coordinate with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, front desk) to ensure smooth execution of reservations
– Upsell and cross-sell additional services, packages, and offerings to enhance the guest experience
– Proactively identify and resolve any booking discrepancies or issues
– Manage waitlists and oversee the allocation of rooms during peak periods
– Provide feedback and recommendations to management on improving reservation processes
– Maintain detailed records and generate reports on reservation activity and performance
– Assist with guest check-in and check-out procedures as needed
– Perform other duties as assigned by management

 

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

– High school diploma or equivalent, with some post-secondary education preferred
– Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a reservations, customer service, or hospitality role
– Proficiency in using reservation management software and online booking systems
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service
– Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
– Familiarity with hotel/resort operations and industry trends
– Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
– Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records
– Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
– Knowledge of revenue management and dynamic pricing strategies is a plus
