Your day to day

Be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting food in accordance with our portion and quality standards.
Prepare production for daily usage.
Prepare food orders as required.
Adhere to HACCP policies and procedures within the resort & IHG brand standards.
Be cleaner than clean – maintain cleanliness and hygiene of your work stations and maintenance of equipment.
Communicate with team members of hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers.
Communicate politely and display courtesy to guests and internal customers (colleagues).
Own your kitchen – required to control food usage to minimize waste, maintain a clean, safe and tidy work environment and communicate well with other colleagues within the department.
Ensure that equipment is used properly, kept clean, and any defects are reported promptly.
Help with washing up and other kitchen duties where needed.
With your own signature flare, you’ll turn our high standards into memorable meals for every guest.

Give guests a better experience by helping with any queries or advice.
Take on other ad-hoc duties when the whole team needs to pull together.

 

 

What we need from you

We are looking for enthusiastic and professional team members who knows how to deliver great service and exceed guest expectations & provide a high-level of service excellence to our resort guests. The ideal candidate is to possess the following:

Diploma/Vocational certificate in Culinary Skills or related field.
Minimum 2 years’ related experience in full service restaurants/ local or international hotels in high volume kitchen.
Commitment to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
Great communication skills.
Oral and written fluency in English.
Outgoing and people oriented.
Able to multi-tasks and ability to handle stressful situations.
Proficient in Excel and Microsoft word (optional).
Passion for providing excellent culinary experiences and previous experiences in a Kitchen as a Chef or Apprentice Chef.
Motivation for a career within a Kitchen, keen to learn and grow.
Willing to learn new things and work as part of our wider Hotel team!
