Industrial and Marine Engineering Limited (IMEL), a division of Carpenters Group of Companies, has an exciting opening for dynamic individuals to join IMEL in the following roles based in Walu Bay, Suva.
FIBERGLASS FABRICATOR

Responsibilities:

•Measure, cut and prepare fiberglass materials according to project specification.
•Laminate mold surfaces and assemble the parts for fiberglass products
•Also inspect work throughout the process, repair damaged fiberglass items, paint finished products, mix catalysts into resins, cut materials, maintain equipment, and explain the details
•Mold bus body parts
•Finish works on bus body building and alignment of body parts
•Diagnose issues in vehicles, performing cosmetic repairs, replacing defective parts, applying fiber layers to surfaces, sculpting materials, and using molds to create new parts

Requirements:

•Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
•Proficient in working with various tools, rollers and spray guns
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
•Attention to detail to ensure high quality finished product
