The Resource Mobilization Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efficient and effective mobilization of resources to ensure the successful implementation of development projects and initiatives. This role involves coordinating the procurement of necessary resources, managing donor relationships, and facilitating the timely allocation of resources to project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Resource Procurement and Allocation:
– Coordinate the procurement of resources, such as equipment, supplies, and services, required for the successful implementation of development projects.
– Maintain a comprehensive inventory of available resources and continuously monitor supply levels to anticipate and address potential shortages.
– Liaise with project teams to understand their resource requirements and facilitate the timely allocation of resources to meet project needs.
– Ensure the efficient and equitable distribution of resources across various projects and initiatives.
2. Donor Relationship Management:
– Assist in the cultivation and maintenance of positive relationships with donors, including government agencies, foundations, and private sector partners.
– Coordinate the preparation and submission of funding proposals, grant applications, and reporting requirements to secure continued donor support.
– Facilitate open communication and information sharing with donors to keep them informed about project progress, challenges, and funding utilization.
– Identify and pursue new funding opportunities that align with the organization’s strategic priorities and development goals.
3. Resource Utilization Monitoring and Reporting:
– Develop and maintain comprehensive resource utilization tracking systems to monitor the consumption and allocation of resources across projects.
– Analyze resource utilization data and provide regular reports to the Resource Mobilization Manager and project teams on the status of resource availability, consumption patterns, and any deviations from planned usage.
– Identify opportunities for resource optimization and propose strategies to enhance the efficient and sustainable use of resources.
– Collaborate with the Finance and Accounting teams to ensure the accurate recording and reporting of resource-related financial information.
4. Stakeholder Coordination and Communication:
– Serve as the primary point of contact for project teams, procurement staff, and other stakeholders involved in the resource mobilization process.
– Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among various stakeholders to ensure the timely and coordinated delivery of resources.
– Provide training and support to project teams on resource mobilization policies, procedures, and best practices.
– Contribute to the development and implementation of resource mobilization strategies and guidelines.
5. Compliance and Risk Management:
– Ensure compliance with all relevant organizational policies, donor requirements, and regulatory frameworks governing the procurement and utilization of resources.
– Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with resource mobilization, such as supply chain disruptions, budget constraints, and legal or regulatory changes.
– Recommend and implement appropriate risk management strategies to ensure the continuity of project implementation.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
– Minimum 3-5 years of experience in resource mobilization, procurement, or project management
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to optimize resource utilization
– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
– Proficient in the use of resource management and procurement software
– Knowledge of relevant procurement regulations and donor requirements
– Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
– Experience in the development sector or with international organizations is preferred
