Job Description:

We seek a talented and experienced Security System Engineer / Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our security systems including service and maintenance across a broad spectrum of access control, intrusion, and video surveillance systems to ensure our client’s highest level of protection.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement security systems including surveillance, access control, and alarm systems.
Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
Maintain and upgrade existing security systems to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate security systems with other technologies.
Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams.
Stay updated with the latest security technologies and industry trends.
Basic project management best practices;
Security systems to include, service and maintenance across a broad spectrum of access control, intrusion, and video surveillance systems
Working knowledge of low-voltage system
Working knowledge of network principles

Qualifications:

Diploma or equivalent electronic application certification, or a related field.
Minimum of two years of experience in security system engineering/technician.
Proficient in designing and implementing various security systems.
Strong understanding of network protocols and IP security principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant certifications are a plus.

Operating a computer and various software packages
Problem identification and problem-solving
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills

Abilities:

Ability to work under minimum or no supervision
Work independently to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to needed changes
Comprehend technical language and read and interpret blueprints
Effectively communicate both in writing and verbal
Exercise considerable judgment and initiative
Stay abreast of changes in security technology
