Vuvale Outsourcing in Suva is seeking a Senior Human Resource Officer to join our internal management team and effectively manage the Human Resource Department.
In Fiji, we operate a professional purpose fitted work environment in Nabua Suva, with local Human Resources management. You will be a part of the 45+ strong Vuvale team, but also part of an overall international team.
DETAILS:
Location: Suva, Fiji
Basis: Permanent Full-time
Roster: Monday to Friday – approx. 8am to 5pm

Key Responsibilities
Department Management, Compliance and Documentation:
Design, implement, and manage Human Resources policies, processes, and procedures in alignment with local laws.
Manage Human Resources staff to successfully manage all aspects of the Human Resources Department.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date Human Resources records, including attendance.
Ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
Manage reports for the department as requested by Senior Management and the Leadership team and Clients are provided in a timely manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline Human Resources processes and improve operational efficiency.
Maintain Human Resource-related data to generate insights and recommendations for process improvement.
Prepare regular reports for management on recruitment activities, disciplinary cases, and onboarding progress.
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
Collaborate with hiring managers and clients to understand staffing needs, create job descriptions, and determine candidate requirements.
Coordinate recruitment process, including job posting, candidate sourcing, resume screening, interviewing, and selection, or liaising with clients for final interviews and selection.
Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, and training programs.
Employee Onboarding:
Design and manage comprehensive employee onboarding programs to ensure smooth transitions for new hires.
Facilitate orientation sessions, including introducing company culture, policies, and key team members.
Manage staff probation periods are successfully reviewed and completed in partnership with the clients, in partnership with the Client Success team, and Team Leaders.
Staff Management:
Manage general Human Resources support to employees in providing including answering inquiries, addressing concerns, and offering guidance on HR policies and procedures.
Manage annual performance reviews are done in coordination with clients, in partnership with the Client Success Team, and Team Leaders.
Manage all staff disciplinary matters, proper investigation, documentation, and adherence to policies and procedures.
Provide guidance to managers on disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and conflict resolution.
Requirements
Experience
2 years + working in HR or related field.
Tertiary qualification in HR or related fields.
Knowledge of Human Resource policies, labour laws, and disciplinary procedures.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills
Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
Collaborative team player with a customer service mindset.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and challenges.
