Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

Carpenters Shipping is a well-established shipping & forwarding Agency and heavy transport and logistics business. We are seeking to employ experienced and proactive individuals for the Senior Accounts Officer position to be based in Suva.

Key Duties:

• Assist in collection of payments from cash and credit clients
• Arrange credit and direct payments of creditors invoices
• Check and coordinate cartage charges on timely basis
• Issue of all external orders
• Providing Cartage quotation to customers as when required
• Supervise and co-ordinate transport Admin Staff
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain good relationships
• Assist with audits and financial reports as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or similar role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
