EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER/ MAINTENANCE HANDYMAN – The Palms Denarau

Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

The Palms Denarau is seeking applications from a suitably qualified person for the below-mentioned roles to be based at The Palms Apartment on Denarau Island.

 Executive Housekeeper

Duties 

• Supervise all housekeeping employees, hire new employees as needed, discharge employees when necessary and take disciplinary actions when policies are not followed.
• Co-ordinates between housekeeping crews to inspect assigned areas to ensure standards are met.
• Manage many priorities and demands and is able to solve problems, support staff, as well as perform the duties of Executive House Keeper.
• Plan the work of the House Keeping Department and distribute assignments accordingly.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for cleanliness, orderliness and appearance of the entire Hotel.
• Ensure that rooms are made as per five star standard.
• Maintain par stock of guest supplies cleaning supplies, linen and uniform.
• Organize on the job training and evaluate its effectiveness.

Experience:

•     Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Housekeeping of which at least 2-3 years in similar role, Strong Operational and Technical and Computer knowledge.
•     Knowledge of room master is desirable

Maintenance Handyman

This is a hands-on position and full time work at Wailoaloa Apartments. This person will be working under the Maintenance supervisor.

 Requirements are:

•     Minimum experience 2 years.
•    Has a knowledge in cleaning and maintaining the pool
•    Basic knowledge in carpentry and grounds
•   Willing to work flexible hours if required. .
