C3 Fiji, a dynamic and innovative non-profit organisation, which focuses on coastal biodiversity, sustainable livelihoods and environmental outreach, seeks a passionate, energetic and forward-thinking Technical Officer (Marine) to start in early November 2025.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Technical Officer (Marine) at C3 Fiji based in Labasa Town, Northern Fiji. Responsibilities will include:

• conducting technical support on coral reef survey techniques, implementing research studies to support coral reef (and related ecosystems) conservation in parts of Vanua Levu and Viti Levu.
• providing training to colleagues in methods and ensuring health and safety policies are adhered to in the field.
• Data analysis skills are key, as are strong reporting and communications skills.

Qualifications

• Background in Coral Reef Research and Management
• 2 years+ experience planning and executing coral reef (and related ecosystems) field surveys
• Data analysis skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology, Environmental Science, Climate Change or related field
• Experience working on coral reef conservation projects is a plus
• A good command of English and excellent reporting skills, must
• Can work in remote and traditional communities and ready to adjust accordingly

Remuneration: 1200 – 2500 (FJD) Per Month
