PASTRY CHEF

 


Location: Suva, Ba and Lautoka

 

 

We are seeking an experienced Pastry Chef who has a strong background in both baking and pastry arts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring that each item meets our high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.

 

 

This role requires creativity, precision, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, including croissants, Danishes, tarts,
    cakes, cookies, and other baked goods

  • Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery of products

  • Decorate and finish pastries with an eye for detail, ensuring that they are visually appealing and aligned
    with our brand standards

  • Experiment with new recipes and techniques to expand our pastry offerings and keep our menu fresh
    and exciting

  • Monitor inventory levels and manage the ordering of ingredients to ensure a steady supply of
    fresh materials

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all health and safety guidelines

  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate baking activities and optimize workflow

  • Assist with special orders and catering requests, providing high-quality products
    tailored to customer needs

 

 

Requirements:

 

 

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, with a strong portfolio of high-quality baked goods and pastries

  • Formal training in baking and pastry arts or equivalent professional experience

  • Expertise in a variety of pastry techniques, including dough preparation, lamination, and decorating

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality

  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • A passion for baking and a creative approach to developing new products

  • Knowledge in OHS and Food safety act.
