PRODUCTION OPERATIONS MANAGER

Bhikhabhai And Co. Pte Ltd and Swits-N-Snax (Fiji) Pte Ltd, Fiji’s leading manufacturer of sweets and snacks since the late 1920s, is modernising and expanding its facilities. We are seeking an experienced and highly results-oriented Production Operations Manager (based in Ba) reporting to the Executive Director, who will oversee all aspects of manufacturing, production, and supply chain activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimise day-to-day operations across Production, Despatch, and Logistics to ensure smooth and timely output to meet market demand efficiently.

• Manage and direct all production activities to ensure products are manufactured on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Continuously analyse and improve manufacturing workflows, leveraging Lean methodologies to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.

• Train, mentor, and lead a diverse team of production staff and supervisors.

• Champion and drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring strict adherence to food safety, quality (HACCP/GMP), and standard operating procedures.

• Actively support the commissioning and integration of new machinery, major automation projects, and facility upgrades.

• Coordinate closely with the Engineering and Quality Assurance teams to ensure operational readiness and compliance.

What You’ll Bring / Expected:

• A relevant Bachelor’s Degree (e.g., Engineering, Food Technology, Food Science, Operations/Industrial/Manufacturing Management or equivalent) is essential.

• 7–12 years of progressive experience in managing operations within the FMCG sector, or similar high-volume plant environments.

• Demonstrated strong analytical ability and a proven process-improvement mindset.

• Exceptional leadership, planning, and communication skills required to manage teams and interface effectively across the organisation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience utilising complex reporting and management information systems.

• Sound working knowledge of HACCP/GMP.
