POSITIONS:

 


– Duty Manager

 

 

Step into a leadership role at Wyndham Garden Wailoaloa Beach Fiji, part of the globally respected Wyndham Hotels & Resorts family. We are currently seeking a dedicated, hands-on Duty Manager with a solid hotel operations background, capable of driving service excellence and operational efficiency across all departments.

This role is ideal for someone who treats the property as their own, knows how to lead people with the right approach, and understands the importance of controlling costs and maintaining standards every day.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 


-Take charge of daily hotel operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth coordination between departments.
-Personally handle guest relations, service recovery, and on-the-ground decision-making.
-Act as a reliable point of contact in the absence of senior leadership.
-Supervise and support team members in Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and Maintenance.
-Ensure cost control, inventory management, and loss prevention procedures are implemented effectively.
-Foster a positive work culture through supportive leadership, training, and real-time coaching.
-Monitor service delivery standards and enforce brand guidelines consistently.
-Lead operational briefings, maintain handover reports, and contribute to daily planning.

 

 

Ideal Candidate:

 


-Full hotel background with proven experience across various operational departments.
-Minimum 3–5 years in a supervisory or duty manager role within a hotel environment.
-A hands-on leader who leads by example and isn’t afraid to get involved at the ground level.
-Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle people and situations with the right tone, professionalism, and respect.
-Solid knowledge of cost and loss controls, stock usage, and operational budgeting.
-Ability to work independently, solve problems under pressure, and make timely decisions.
-Familiarity with PMS (e.g., Opera, RoomMaster) and standard hotel operating systems.
-Flexible to work rotating shifts, weekends, nights, and public holidays.
-Prior experience in a Wyndham-branded or international hotel is a strong advantage.
