The Salvation Army Family Care Centre is a non-government organisation committed to the care of women and girls who have experienced or are at risk of domestic violence or victims of human trafficking by providing a safe place for them. This role involves staying overnight at the centre for six nights per week to relieve the manager and other staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Stay overnight at the centre for six nights per week to relieve manager and other staff
- Manage security and difficult situations during night shifts
- Maintain a safe environment for women and girls at risk of domestic violence or victims of human trafficking
- Operate in alignment with the Salvation Army’s social work and evangelical mission
Requirements
- Be able to manage security and difficult situations
- Be open to other ethnic cultures and people with disabilities without discrimination
- Have an empathy with and understanding of Salvation Army mission as a Christian evangelical and social work organisation
- Exhibit high levels of honesty, self-motivation, and professional/personal ethics
- Have high levels of communication skills
- Possessing a current full driver’s license would be a bonus but not necessary
Salary
24 hours a week plus Sleepover allowance
