The Inventory Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and documenting effective retail support centre and warehouse strategies to ensure accurate inventory control and efficient stock movement. The role ensures quarterly stock takes are conducted accurately and on time, while developing solutions to improve inventory accuracy and minimize shrinkage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and document retail support center & warehouse strategies for inventory control and movement.
- Ensure quarterly stock takes are conducted on accurately and timely manner and come up with solutions to improve the Inventory accuracy and minimize the shrinkages.
- Deploy systems to effectively and accurately manage and monitor inventory levels, inventory aging, and optimal (data-driven) inventory allocation for various products or category and points of sale.
- Evaluate and select information or other technology solutions to improve tracking and reporting materials or products distribution, storage, or inventory.
- Design, execute and continuously improve service & accuracy level in delivery and systems (receipting, picking, packing, checking, dispatch, & claims, etc.).
- Deliver an exceptional experience for both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) customers through effective planning, well-coordinated logistics and distribution, and a strong, responsive after-sales service network.
- Interprets internal or external issues and recommends solutions/best practices. Identifies and resolves issues of low-to-moderate complexity and coordinates the appropriate cross-functional resource. Communicates issue along with scope and business impact of the issue.
- Assists the management team in driving continuous improvement by addressing issues in support of optimal decision making. Identifies areas of opportunity within solutions that will aid the organization with improving the bottom line.
- Supports projects of small to medium complexity and scope. Lead other inventory management and integrated supply chain related projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Material Management, Warehouse Management, Finance and Accounting from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, inventory management preferably in hardware retail, wholesale, MB & Logistics skilled especially in multi-site retail business.
- Proficiency in inventory management & warehouse management software like Navision, SAP, Oracle.
- International experience, especially within Asia Pacific or Middle-East markets and around operational experiences in logistics, Inventory, WH management systems, sales or services in a B2C and B2B context would be preferable.
- Experience in Data Analytics software like Power BI, Solver.
- Highly developed report writing, computer, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze information quickly using innovative solutions to solve complex problems.
- An ability to lead or mentor staff.
