Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidates will be influential leaders with the ability to develop and implement strategic, commercial and operational goals for Telecom that will firmly place the company at the forefront of innovation in the emerging sectors of ICT. The CMO will lead the marketing strategy, brand positioning, and customer engagement initiatives for Telecom Fiji. This role is responsible for driving customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth through innovative marketing campaigns, digital transformation, and data-driven strategies. The CMO will oversee brand management, digital marketing, product marketing, and customer insights to ensure the company remains competitive in a rapidly evolving telecom landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Telecom Fiji’s overall marketing strategy to enhance brand equity and market positioning.
  • Define the brand vision, messaging, and differentiation in a competitive telecom market.
  • Lead integrated marketing campaigns across digital, ATL (Above-the-Line), and BTL (Below-the-Line) channels.
  • Lead product marketing for telecom and ICT services (broadband, cybersecurity, IoT, cloud, 5G, and enterprise solutions).
  • Develop compelling value propositions and pricing strategies to maximize adoption.
  • Collaborate with product and sales teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Design and implement customer lifecycle marketing strategies to reduce churn and increase loyalty.
  • Track KPIs such as CAC, CLTV (Customer Lifetime Value), conversion rates, and engagement metrics.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive threats.
  • Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships (e.g., OTT platforms, device manufacturers).
  • Oversee sponsorships and events to enhance brand visibility.
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team (brand, digital, product, content, analytics).
  • Manage the marketing budget efficiently, ensuring maximum ROI.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and performance-driven marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
  • 12+ years in a senior marketing role, preferably within the telecom/technology sector.
  • Proven expertise in digital marketing, brand management, and customer growth strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of telecom products (broadband, enterprise, IoT, 5G, digital services).
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation, and analytics tools (Power BI).
  • Exceptional leadership, creativity, and analytical skills.
