Business Development Manager – Exports & Wholesale Division
(Position will be based at Commercial Samabula)
We are seeking seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead growth in our Exports & Wholesale Division. This role is responsible for identifying new markets, developing export and wholesale partnerships, increasing revenue, and strengthening the company’s regional and international presence. The ideal candidate should be commercially minded, understands export and wholesale operations, and can build long-term relationships with distributors, buyers, and strategic partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies for export and wholesale markets.
- Identify new international and regional market opportunities and assess commercial viability.
- Build and manage relationships with overseas distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers and partners.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure and post-sale follow-up.
- Work closely with operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and compliance with export requirements.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for management.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings, locally and overseas.
- Ensure compliance with relevant export regulations, trade laws, and company policies.
Requirements
- Business qualification in Sales & Marketing, International Trade, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or export/wholesale operations.
- Strong understanding of export markets, wholesale distribution, and international trade processes.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and growth targets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into action.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.
- Experience in the Pacific region or similar markets is an advantage.
