Pacific Fishing Company Pte Limited (PAFCO) VACANCY – WORKPLACE HEALTH, SAFETY & COMPLIANCE [WHSC] OFFICER Role Purpose To recruit a dynamic and highly motivated person to be based in Levuka. This position reports directly to the Manager People Capabilities and Culture and, in terms of plant compliance, to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that the plant is safe and compliant according to all local safety and factory legislations.
  • Deliver training and safety awareness programs.
  • Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Foster a culture of safety to all employees and visitors to the plant.
  • Conduct risk assessments and workplace inspections.
  • Maintain records and prepare safety reports for management.

Requirements

  • OHS qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing workplace health, safety and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and best practises.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated experience in training and coaching people at all levels.
  • Must have 3 years work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a food processing factory is an advantage.

Salary

Salary for the position will be in accordance with current market rates.
