GROUP RESERVATIONS MANAGER

Reporting to the Director of Global Reservations, the Group Reservations Manager is responsible for the growth of sales from all our overseas markets covering Groups Travel. Group Series with Special Interests and Cruise Ships. This position is based in Martintar. NADI.

Key Responsibilities

1. Working with key international Tour wholesalers. Cruise operators. Special interest Operator and Airlines to grow revenue.
2. Develop “tailor made” tour programs for visiting groups on Cruise ships. Charter flights. Sporting Tours. Community Service. Visiting Schools and other special requests relating to group travel and recreation.
3. Monitor sales performances for groups department and develop effective strategies to increase sales and meet budgets.
4. Ensure a 24-hour turnaround response to all requests from overseas tour operators requesting information on the company, confidential tariffs, packages, and other ancillary information.
5. Develop and maintain business relationships with resorts / hotels, airlines, and local communities and service providers for business specials and value-added packages.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualification:

1. Tertiary Qualification in Tourism Management or related studies is desirable with at least 10 years working experience as a Reservations Consultant in a tourism related environment.
2. Must have worked in a leadership position in managing a reservations or operations team for at least 5 years.
3. Have working experience and knowledge of NX Tourplan System or any other Reservations System is a plus.
4. Conversant with using ICT tools to manage and improve work productivity.
5. Demonstrate flawless attention to detail.
6. Excellent prioritisation and time management skills coupled with ability to work under pressure and to tight dead¬lines.
7. Flexible in approach to hours, input and adapting to change.
