VET SUPPORT – GOODMAN FIELDER

VACANCY 
JOB DESCRIPTION & SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

This position will be based at the Livestock office in Waila, Nausori reporting to the Veterinarian.

The nature of the role includes:

• Ensuring compliance with all company Animal Welfare and biosecurity procedures.
• Monitoring all site health programmes.
• Identifying areas that require health improvements with an eye to incorporate best practice.
• Providing quality technical support to site middle management for decision making.
• Management of documentation and timely collation of data for records.
• Creating awareness on animal welfare, health programs, biosecurity, and other relevant programs at floor level.
• Assisting with laboratory testing when required.

Key skills and attributes required:

• A bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science.
• 1 year experience as a Poultry Veterinarian is preferred.
• Proficient user of Microsoft office.
• Excellent literacy, numeracy, and organizational skills.
• An eye for attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with people at all levels.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
