The Pacific Theological College (PTC) located in Nasese, Suva, is a regional ecumenical tertiary institution that served the region through the churches of the Pacific for over 50 years. We invite applications for the position of ICT Officer, to be part of a vibrant and dedicated regional team.
Terms of Reference:
This role reports to the IT Administrator/Manager and is responsible for providing day to day technical ICT support to PTC staff and students. The role also requires setting up of audio & video equipment during college events and functions at times.

Join NowReports to the ICT Administrator/Manager of the Pacific Theological College.
Offer daily operations and systems support to staff and students.
Setting up of computer LAN for new staff while providing solution to IT matters concurrently.
Verify functionality of hardware and software components.
Conduct consistent server and network backup operations.
Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades.
Restricting access to unauthorized site, downloads and users.
Setting up accounts for staff, educate them on log in and resolve issues arising.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone.
Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults.
Repairing equipment and replacing parts, checking computer equipment.
Maintaining records of software licenses.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma, Majoring in Information Systems or Computer Science.
Desired Skills:
Strong knowledge of troubleshooting computers, laptops, printers, etc.
Knowledge of Firewall’s, Routers, Network Switches and Ethernet cables.
Working knowledge of Windows Operating System(s) and MS Office applications.
Knowledge of Windows and Linux software and hardware.
Knowledge of Moodle LMS, Remote Desktop, Zoom and Physical/Virtual Servers.
Knowledge of Audio and Video equipment i.e., Mixers, Microphones, Digital Camera’s, etc.
Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
High level of interpersonal skills in dealing with external stakeholders, Managers, colleagues, students, etc.
Ability to organize and plan personal workload.
