Fiji Airports Pte Limited trading as Fiji Airports (FA) is a fully Government owned Commercial Company (GCC). The company was established on 12 April 1999 under the Public Enterprise Act, 1996. It was formed following the reorganization of the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji (CAAF). FA owns and operates Nadi International Airport and manages Nausori Airport including 13 other domestic outer island airports on behalf of the Government. It also provides Air Traffic Management (ATM) services in the Nadi Flight Information Region (Nadi FIR (Flight Information Region)). This includes the air space of Fiji, Tuvalu, New Caledonia, Kiribati and Vanuatu, covering an area of 6.0 million square kilometres.

Fiji Airports is seeking a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Manager Building and Civil Works, reporting to the General Manager Assets and Infrastructure.

The role is responsible for ensuring that Fiji Airport’s building and civil works assets are maintained and upgraded to meet the requirements of their continued cost-effective operation. The role will report into the General Manager Assets and Infrastructure and will be responsible for the following outcomes:

Provide leadership in continuous improvement and technical activities within the Building and Civil Works Department.
Manage the development of asset management strategies and plans that incorporate maintenance and service levels and programs for forward planning of maintenance.
Prioritize maintenance and asset management actions to Fiji Airport’s critical pavement assets.
Ensure works are completed safely and, with no unplanned impacts on Airport operations.
Engage and liaise with all other teams in gaining support and commitment towards achieving corporate goals regarding asset management and maintenance.
Lead, coach and manage staff in a way that fosters a collaborative culture and supports learning and innovation.
Responsible for effective service delivery of asset management and maintenance functions of the Building and Civil Works Department.

Qualification and Experience:

Applicable qualifications in Engineering and Construction.
10 years construction experience in at least 3 years’ experience in aviation orientated works.
Proficient at applying civil engineering, civil design and asset management knowledge when problem solving.
Extensive Contract administrative experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare reports.

Remuneration

An appropriate remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
