About the Opportunity:

Hall Pacific, a leading civil, marine, and dredging contractor in the Pacific Islands, is seeking Deckhands who are residing in Fiji to join a newly awarded project in Ba River. This is an opportunity for you to develop your skills with Fiji’s premier marine and dredging contractor. As a Deckhand you will play an important role in the assistance and upkeep of the company’s fleet of vessels and marine equipment. The project is estimated to go for 7 to 9 months with day and night shifts as required.

Duties and responsibilities:

Assist with the day-to-day running and maintenance of a variety of vessels (workboats, dredges, etc.).
Ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.
Clear communication, physical fitness, and the ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines are paramount in this role.

About you:

Prior experience as a deckhand preferably with rigger and dogger qualifications
Self-motivated and able to perform under pressure.
Must be willing to assist in general duties of Marine and dredging projects in accordance with OHS regulations.
You are safety-minded and able to follow instructions.
You hold or are willing to obtain an Elements of Shipboard Safety Certificate and First Aid Certificate
