Join NowKey Responsibilities:
– Respond to user requests and inquiries regarding hardware, software, network, and other IT-related issues through various communication channels (phone, email, ticketing system).
– Assist in the diagnosis and troubleshooting of technical problems, including computer hardware, operating systems, application software, network connectivity, and peripheral devices.
– Learn to provide step-by-step instructions and guidance to users to help them resolve issues independently whenever possible.
– Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior IT support engineers or the appropriate team members for further investigation and resolution.
– Document all support activities, including problem descriptions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions, in the IT ticketing system.
– Gain hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, and testing of new hardware and software, under the supervision of experienced engineers.
– Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT policies, procedures, and user guides to improve the efficiency and consistency of IT support.
– Participate in IT projects and initiatives, as needed, to enhance the organization’s technology capabilities.
– Demonstrate a willingness to learn, adapt, and expand technical knowledge to keep up with the latest technology trends and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
– Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
– Limited or no prior experience in a technical support or IT engineering role.
– Strong interest and passion for technology, with a desire to learn and grow in the IT field.
– Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
– Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and investigate technical issues.
– Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
– Proficiency in using basic IT tools and software, such as remote access software and ticketing systems.
– Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow the guidance of senior IT professionals.
– Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies and methodologies.
