– Monitor the performance, availability, and security of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, network equipment, storage systems, and cloud-based services.
– Perform proactive maintenance tasks, such as software updates, configuration changes, and system backups, to prevent and mitigate potential issues.
– Investigate and resolve complex technical problems related to the infrastructure, including network connectivity, server malfunctions, storage failures, and application integration issues.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application developers, database administrators, and security specialists, to identify and address infrastructure-related concerns.
– Analyze and interpret system logs, performance metrics, and monitoring data to identify trends, potential problems, and opportunities for optimization.
– Implement and maintain infrastructure-related policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency.
– Assist with the design, planning, and deployment of new infrastructure components, such as servers, network devices, and cloud services.
– Provide training and guidance to IT support staff and end-users on the proper use and maintenance of infrastructure-related systems and tools.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest infrastructure technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades.
– Contribute to the development and documentation of infrastructure-related processes, such as incident management, change management, and disaster recovery.
– Participate in on-call support and incident response activities to ensure the availability and resilience of the IT infrastructure.

 

 

Qualifications and Skills:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
– 3-5 years of experience as an IT support engineer or IT infrastructure specialist, with a strong understanding of infrastructure technologies and principles.
– Proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting servers (Windows, Linux), network devices (switches, routers, firewalls), and cloud-based infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS).
– Experience with configuration management, scripting, and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, PowerShell).
– Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
– Understanding of networking protocols, security best practices, and industry standards (e.g., TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, SSL/TLS).
– Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex technical issues.
– Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
– Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of IT infrastructure.
