Education New Zealand – Manapou ki te Ao (ENZ), is a New Zealand Crown Agency responsible for promoting international education, benefiting New Zealand socially, culturally, and economically. ENZ works across the globe to support the delivery of international education services, including the administration of scholarships to both New Zealanders and International students.
The ENZ is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced individual for the role of Scholarships Advisor – Pacific to join the Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships team. This role will be based at the New Zealand High Commission in Suva, Fiji and will be focused on the day-to-day operational management of their Pacific based stakeholders.
This is an exciting position that contributes to strengthening education outcomes not only in Fiji but more broadly in the Pacific and will report to the Manaaki Scholarships Manager.

Join NowThe Scholarships Advisor – Pacific is accountable for administering the day-to-day delivery of the In Pacific Tertiary scheme (MNZSP – IPT), portfolio within the Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships programme, including scholar experience, issue management, and stakeholder engagement.
Summary of Key Accountabilities
Administer and maintain accurate and up-to-date scholarship databases and applicants’ records.
Enable providers to manage scholarships in a way that support ENZ and Manaaki outcomes while facilitating a positive scholar experience.
Ensure all processes are delivered in a timely manner, including placements, offers of place as well as other operational matters.
Work closely with the Manaaki scholarships team to respond to all scholarship-related enquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
Engage with providers and other relevant stakeholders to understand how ENZ can best work with them to achieve shared objectives
Continually improve communications and efficiencies within the Maanaki Scholarships team and with other parts of the organisation
Create and maintain corporate information to high standards to ensure ENZ can meet reporting obligations.
Qualifications and Experience
The suitable candidate must have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Minimum of three years’ experience in a client service or relationship management role, related to international education, student exchanges or scholarship programmes
Understanding of Pacific education sector/institutions and the differing scholarship lifecycles
Ability to liaise and work effectively with a range of key stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with a collaborative style of engagement and ability to work on sensitive issues
Extremely well organised with a good eye for detail
Ability to work independently
Understanding of Pacific education sector
You must also:
Be eligible to live and work in Fiji.
Be able to provide a police clearance.

Remuneration
An appropriate remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
