FORKLIFTER DRIVER – Viti Foods Pte Limited

Job Description
Viti Foods Pte Limited is a subsidiary of CJ Patel Group of Companies and we specialize in manufacturing canned tuna and mackerel products for local and export markets.We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Forklift Driver to be based at our manufacturing plant in Laucala Beach Estate, Suva.

Key Responsibilities:

This position reports to the Senior Stock Controller – Warehouse/Logistics department and will be involved in a variety of activities including but not limited to:

Transporting materials between loading, unloading, and processing to/from storage area
Loading and unloading of goods from trucks, containers etc
Perform warehouse related tasks as per procedures
Manage stock rotation/FIFO/LIFO
Ability to perform manual handling tasks and heavy lifting loads up to 25kg
Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment
To ensure forklift is clean, safe and in good operating condition

Position Requirements:

A valid Group 9 License with no adverse driving records
At least 1-3 years working experience in operating forklift, preferably in a manufacturing plant/storage facility setting
Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
Ability to operate a high reach forklift would be an advantage
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with honesty
Able to work on shift basis
