Industrial and Marine Engineering PTE Limited (IMEL), a division of Carpenters Group of Companies, is seeking applications from interested candidates for the Dock Crew position to be based in Suva. If you believe you are ready to join our dynamic team we want to hear from you.

Key Duties:

Assist with positioning, securing, and managing the floating dry dock and vessels, ensuring smooth launching and retrieval processes
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on the dry dock’s equipment, systems, and safety gear.
Follow safety protocols, conduct safety drills, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Requirements:

Certification in Deck Watch Rating (DWR) or Engine Room Watch Rating (EWR) qualification.
2 years of experience in a similar role.
Sound knowledge in maintain and overhauling diesel engines.
Valid Certification in Able Seaman.
Valid Certification in Fire Fighting, Proficiency in Medical First Aid, Personal Safety and Social Responsibility and Proficiency in Survival Craft.
Hardworking with ability to work odd hours.
Capable of doing maintenance works.
