Job Description
As the Gift / Convenience Store Manager, you will be fully responsible for ordering all items in the store, managing inventory, and selling items to our valued guests. This includes overseeing the selection of gifts, souvenirs, snacks, and other convenience items to meet the diverse needs of our customers.
Your role is crucial in ensuring that our gift /convenience store runs smoothly and provides an outstanding shopping experience.
This is an Island based position and accommodation will be provided.

- Ordering and Inventory Management: Order all merchandise for the gift shop, maintain optimal inventory levels, and ensure timely item restocking.
- Sales and Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, assist guests with purchases, and ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
- Merchandising: Develop and implement creative merchandising strategies to attract customers and boost sales.
- Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise gift shop staff to ensure efficient operations and high customer service standards.
- Financial Management: Oversee cash handling, prepare financial reports, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative duties such as maintaining records, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.
Experience /Skills:
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a gift shop or similar environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience with POS systems is preferred, but training can be provided
- Proficiency in inventory management and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Fine administration skills, with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Creative and resourceful approach to merchandising and problem-solving.
