VIDEOGRAPHERS – International Foundation for Electoral System (IFES)

Organizational Description:

The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) is an international, non-profit organization that supports the building of democratic societies. IFES promotes democratic stability by providing technical assistance and applying field-based research to the electoral cycle in countries around the world to enhance citizen participation and strengthen civil societies, governance, and transparency. Founded in 1987 as a nonpartisan, non-profit organization, IFES has developed and implemented comprehensive, collaborative democracy solutions in more than 145 countries.

 IFES is seeking a consultant or consultants to assist in producing inclusive video content, including short films, animations, and educational videos, tailored for both online and offline platforms. The role involves creating high-quality, visually appealing and inclusive videos that support civic and voter education efforts, as well as other informational materials. IFES is looking to collaborate with experienced videographers/editors who can align their work with the organization’s branding and communication objectives, ensuring consistency with both internal and external stakeholders’ goals.

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Country Director for Fiji and the Pacific Islands, the videographer will;

• Develop storyboards based on IFES’ guidance and oversee the production and editing of video content to support IFES Fiji and Pacific outreach activities;
• Collaborate closely with the IFES Fiji team to develop scripts and create high impact digital content and videos for civic and voter awareness, engagement, and education efforts. This includes but is not limited to video brochures, promotional clips, social media/chat app videos, and animations;
• Produce multimedia content and video infographics on topics such as media and digital literacy, youth participation in elections, inclusive elections, voting processes, and more;
• Create promotional and event videos for both online platforms and social media;
• Assist local partners in enhancing their social media engagement through video content;
• Produce additional voter awareness, engagement, and education videos as requested.

Education and Experience:

• Proven experience as a videographer/editor with a strong portfolio of digital media content production;
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar tools;
• Strong understanding of storytelling, visual composition, inclusion and local contexts in Fiji;
• Experience with character animation and creating videos that incorporate animated figures is a plus;
• Additional skills such as motion graphics or web video integration would be an asset;
• Ability to manage tight deadlines, balance workloads, and collaborate with the team when needed, while also contributing with creative input;
• Self-motivated and able to take initiative to meet project timelines;
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.
