IFES is looking for a Finance & Sub-Award Management Assistant to support activity implementation under the current and pending awards.

Join NowUnder the guidance and direction of the Country Director and the Finance Manager:
- Support the update and maintenance of sound financial records in accordance with local laws and regulations, IFES policies and procedures and donor regulations;
- Support the periodic financial reporting requirements as per each award and as per IFES’ financial regulations;
- Interact with program team and provide guidance and support on finance and procurement processes;
- Assist program and administrative staff to prepare for events, meetings, and workshops related to project activities;
- Coordinate with suppliers and other vendors to provide materials and services for project-related events;
- Manage the process of issuing sub-awards including drafting requests for applications (RFA), publication of RFAs, coordinating the selection process and the preparation of sub-award packages;
- Liaise with sub-awardees to ensure timely submission of project reports and adherence to financial guidelines and timely financial reporting;
- Maintain a sub-award management tracker;
- Serve as the field office liaison on sub-award management including payment schedules with HQ-based staff as directed by the Country Director/Finance Manager;
- With the guidance of the Finance Manager, provide orientation training to sub-awardees;
- Assist the Finance Manager with preparing finance reports and documents, and with coordinating administration;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business management, finance/accounting, project management or related field;
- Two or more years of experience working on finance and administration;
- Previous experiences of managing sub-awards for donor-funded programs will be preferred;
- A high level of self-motivation and ability to work autonomously within a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent computer skills and familiarity with accounting software;
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently;
- Accurate and precise attention to detail; and
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken English).
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
