ASSISTANT FOOD & BEVERAGE OPERATIONS MANAGER – InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa

Your day to day

• Asist in managing day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets (restaurants, bars, room services, banquets, etc.)
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently across all outlets in a fast-paced environment, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery.
• Monitor service quality, ensuring that customer expectations are met and exceeded.
• Coordinate with Kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth delivery of food and beverage services.
• Address operational issues and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Assist in recruiting, training and supervising food & Beverage staff.
• Create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
• Motivate and mentor the team, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.
• Assist in managing departmental budgets and controlling costs without compromising service standards.
• Maintain high standards of guest services and ensure customer complaints are handled effectively.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations in food and beverage
• Ensure that the InterContinental brand standards are consistently met, creating a cohesive and exceptional guest experience that aligns with the brand’s prestigious reputation.

What we need from you

• Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
• 2 years of related experience, including supervisory, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
• Excellent communication, problem solving, reasoning and motivational skills.
• Working knowledge of hotel property management systems
• Be flexible with your availability – for example working early mornings, evenings/ nights, weekends, and public holiday shifts.
