HEAVY DIESEL MECHANIC

 Kokomo Private Island is a luxurious, all-inclusive resort located in the heart of Kadavu, Fiji. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team and help maintain our fleet of vehicles and machinery

Duties and Responsibilities:

•       Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy diesel engines, including trucks, generators, and other machinery.
•       Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure optimal performance and safety.
•       Responsible for ordering of spare and repair parts from various suppliers. Follow up on orders and ensure timely delivery of parts to avoid operational disturbances
•       Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

• Assist with barge weekly barge loading and unloading operations.

•       Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
•       Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective operations.
•       Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in diesel mechanics

•       First Aid & Fire Warden Certification is desirable.
•       Valid Driving License would be advantage for the role
