Your day to day
- Deliver Beverage service of high standard and in accordance with departmental standards and procedures to ensure consistency across all outlets.
- Provide effective service ensuring guests are greeted, seated and served.
- Preparation of Bar and Lounge Services area ensuring clean equipment, polished glassware, proper lighting, appropriate music and readiness of outlet for service and guest comfort
- Make sure all bar equipment is in operational condition and regularly cleaned.
- Ensure all bar facilities are properly stocked to anticipated business volume.
- Notify engineering immediately of any maintenance and repair needs.
- Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals.
- Help guests with their requests and complaints, ensuring you maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Analyse guest insights to identify and meet customer expectations and build on guest loyalty.
- Regularly communicate with guests to ensure expectations are met and adhere to patron care standards.
- Make sure food and drinks are secure and stored safely – always keep stock replenished to minimize waste.
- Handle beverage inventory procedures.
- Determine minimum and maximum stocks for all beverage, material, and equipment.
- Participate in a local community activity at least once per annum.
- Ensure OHS standards and procedures are in place and staff receives the relevant training and refresher training for updating knowledge on hazards, operating procedures, use and maintenance of equipment and emergency response procedures.
- Other ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we must pull together to get a task done.
What we need from you
- Experience – you have worked in a similar or Food & beverage role in a hotel property.
- Problem solving skills – be able to handle guest issues efficiently and effectively. This includes clear communication, accountability, prompt resolution.
- Flexibility – nights, weekends and public holiday shifts are all part of the role Flexibility – Availability to work shifts across a 7-day roster including weekends and public holidays.
- Able to multi-tasks and ability to handle stressful situations.
- Detail – a great eye for detail and wanting everything to be placed perfectly in its place
