Stocktake Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate regular stock take activities, including scheduling, organizing resources, and communicating with relevant departments.
  • Conduct physical counts of inventory, ensuring accuracy and consistency with system records.
  • Manage the preparation and execution of stock take events, including setting up counting teams and providing necessary training.
  • Reconcile physical inventory counts with system records to identify discrepancies and investigate root causes.
  • Implement procedures to address and correct discrepancies, including adjustments to inventory records and follow-up actions.
  • Ensure that inventory data is accurate and up-to-date in the inventory management system.
  • Prepare detailed reports on stock take results, including discrepancies, trends, and areas of concern.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify patterns or issues affecting stock accuracy and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide regular updates to the Operations Manager or Inventory Manager on stock take performance and inventory accuracy.
  • Develop and implement best practices and procedures for stock takes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work with other departments to streamline inventory processes and enhance overall stock management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience in inventory management, stock taking, or a related role is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
