Carpenters Motors, a division of Carpenters Fiji Pte Limited and a recognized leader in the Motoring Industry in Fiji, is seeking applications from interested candidates for the role of Inventory & Logistics Officer to be based at Carpenters Motors – Tyres & Batteries in Suva.  If you believe that you are ready to join our dynamic team we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain optimal levels of tyres and batteries in stock.
• Implement efficient inventory control practices to minimize losses.
• Coordinate with suppliers to place orders based on demand forecasts.
• Ensure timely processing of purchase orders and accurate order fulfilment.
• Oversee the transportation and distribution of tires and batteries.
• Optimize logistics processes to reduce lead times and improve efficiency.
• Inspect incoming inventory for quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with suppliers to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels and transactions.
• Generate reports to analyse inventory performance and trends.
• Coordinate with sales teams to align inventory levels with sales forecasts.
• Provide support to service teams to meet customer demands effectively.
• Implement cost-effective strategies for procurement, storage, and distribution.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings within logistics and inventory processes.
• Identify and address potential risks related to inventory shortages or logistics delays.
• Develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions in the supply chain.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management.
• 1-2 years of work experience in similar field.
• Knowledge on Stock ordering, stock reconciliation, stock control, and organizing stock delivery.
• Must have inventory management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Having Valid Driving License
