• Responsibility for the hands-on refrigeration work across the plant as well as leading the refrigeration team.

• Conducting continuous monitoring of systems to identify and implement improvements.
• Carrying out machine inspections, conducting relevant repairs or improvements, and carrying out preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Communicating and collaborating with all departments on planned changes.
• Leading projects involving equipment installation, commissioning, and staff training.
• Developing and managing Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions with company standards.

What we are looking for:

• A diploma or a relevant trade qualification with a valid refrigerant handling license.
• 5 years’ experience in a similar role preferably in an FMCG company.
• Proven experience in managing and maintaining refrigeration systems.
• Sound knowledge of Reefer container and Freezer truck refrigeration is an advantage.
• Proven experience in coaching and development.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
• A valid group 2 driving license with no demerit points, holding a group 9 license would be an advantage.
