Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

Industrial and Marine Engineering Pte Limited (IMEL), a division of Carpenters Group of Companies, has an exciting opening for dynamic individuals to join IMEL for the Welder/Fabricator role based in Walu Bay, Suva.

Responsibilities:

• Will be required to carry out welding and fabrication work on floating dry dock and IMEL fabrication workshops.

Requirements:

• Trade Certificate in Welding & Fabrication
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Ability to carry out welding on 1G TO 6G positions
• Ability to do high pressure welding
• Ability to work independently and in teams with effective communication skills
• Knowledge and understanding of workplace Health and Safety.
• Ability to work independently and in teams with effective communication skills.
• Ability to work long and odd hours.
