CAR CARRIER DRIVER – Carpenters Fiji PTE Limited

Carpenters Motors, a division of Carpenters Fiji Pte Limited and a recognized leader in the Motoring Industry in Fiji, is seeking applications from interested candidates for the role of Car Carrier Driver to be based in our Carpenters Motors Walubay, Suva. Responsibilities:

• Safely load and upload vehicles onto the car carrier, ensure proper securing and protection during transportation. 
• Drive vehicles to their designated destinations, following predetermined routes and schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the carrier and vehicles to ensure safe operation.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the carrier. 
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle transportation, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. 
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise. 
• Perform basic maintainenace tasks on the carrier as needed, such as refueling and minor repairs. 
• Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times, providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

• Form 6 pass.
• Valid driver’s license Group 2, 6 & 7 with a clean driving record
• Proven experience of 3-5 years in similar role.
• Knowledge regulations and safety standards for transporting vehicles
• Excellent driving skills, with the ability to operate a car carrier safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to ensuring the security of transported vehicles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and overtime as needed.
