Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

Industrial and Marine Engineering Pte Limited (IMEL), a division of Carpenters Group of Companies, has an exciting opening for dynamic individuals to join IMEL for the Seat Fabricator role based in Walu Bay, Suva.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble bus seats according to specifications and blueprints
• Cut, shape, and sew fabric, leather, and other materials for seat covers
• Install padding, springs, and support structures in seat frames
• Operate various tools and machinery, including sewing machines, staple guns, and pneumatic tools
• Measure and cut materials accurately to minimize waste
• Perform quality checks throughout the fabrication process

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in seat fabrication, upholstery, or related field from bus industry
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Strong skills in sewing, cutting, and assembling various materials
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
