SENIOR FIRST AID OFFICER (MATERNITY COVER)

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies is seeking a Senior First Aid Officer (Maternity Cover for 6 Months) to join our dynamic Health team. This role will provide essential technical, programmatic, and training support to Pacific Red Cross-National Societies, supporting quality, sustainable First Aid (FA) programs tailored to local contexts.

The Senior First Aid Officer will ensure alignment of First Aid programs with the IFRC International First Aid and Resuscitation guidelines (2020). The incumbent will work with their colleagues in each Pacific Red Cross office to support all aspects of their FA program, including commercial FA, community FA, events FA and psychological FA.

The Senior First Aid Officer will support the development of a pool of First Aid instructors across the Pacific region, promote access to First Aid courses and awareness in the region, including in schools, workplaces and communities. This position will assist Pacific Red Cross-National Societies with planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of FA programs.

This role is ideal for you if you meet below requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in health or health related science.
• 5 years of relevant working experience preferably in First Aid training programs.

Experience in community-based health programming, including budgeting, monitoring and reporting.

• Strong skills in training, capacity building and staff development.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
