Are you a culinary professional with a passion for excellence? Royal Davui Island Resort, Fiji’s best luxury resort in Fiji, is looking for dedicated and experienced chefs to join our team. We have exciting opportunities for a Chef de Partie and a Sous Chef.

Sous Chef

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present high-end dishes with a focus on fresh, local ingredients.
  • Assist in menu planning, food costing, and maintaining stock levels.
  • Ensure kitchen operations run smoothly, maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to uphold consistency and quality.
  • Support the Head Chef in training and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role.
  • Culinary certification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and solve problems effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
