Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Executive Chef to lead our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity, leadership, and experience in island resort dining, with a focus on innovative cuisine that highlights the freshest local ingredients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop a diverse and seasonal menu that reflects regional flavors and culinary trends.
• Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring quality standards are met and maintained.
• Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of culinary professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
• Manage food costs and inventory, maintaining budgetary guidelines while minimizing waste.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with management on special events, promotions, and culinary experiences for guests.
• Build and maintain relationships with local suppliers to source high-quality ingredients.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role within a high-end restaurant or remote island resort environment.
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
• Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and kitchen management.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for sustainability and local Fijian cuisine is a plus
