JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Perform day to day invoicing of job cards, sales quotes, etc. on MYOB. 
  • Receipt payments received from clients honestly.
  • Update customer statements and email the same in a timely manner.
  • Request for supplier statements to process invoices and payments in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile account statements for both local and overseas suppliers.
  • Prepare and reconcile petty cash and banking.
  • Follow up on debtors and provide frequent updates on the same to the Accounts Manager & Managing Director.
  • Maintain documents and records properly to ensure all files are kept up to date.
  • Carry out other accounting functions as needed to ensure the completeness and accuracy of data on accounts.
  • Confidently liaise with clients and suppliers both by phone and in person.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Accounts Manager & Managing Director.
  • Job rotation will occur between both Accounts Payable and Account Receivable positions.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Year 13 / Form 7 education with some experience in the accounts field would be an added advantage.
  • A fast learner with solid attention to detail.
  • Able to work outside of Normal Working Hours at short notice.
  • Excellent command of written & spoken English.
  • Computer literate and be competent in the use of MS Office Package and MYOB. 
  • Strong organizational & time management skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision & meet tight reporting deadlines.
