SENIOR ELECTRICIAN – CJ Patel

Viti Foods Pte Limited is a subsidiary of CJ Patel Group of Companies and we specialize in manufacturing canned tuna and mackerel products for local and export markets. We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Electrician to be based in Laucala Beach Estate, Suva.

SENIOR ELECTRICIAN 

Job Responsibilities:

The successful incumbent will oversee all electrical works for the entity and the work of junior electrician. Will  provide plans or diagrams to prepare for projects by liaising with external parties and will oversee the works of all electrical contractors and sub-contractors that the entity engages. This position reports to the Engineering Supervisor under the leadership of Factory Manager.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams, and other specifications, as required, to determine and correctly follow installation procedures
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams, and other specifications, as required, to determine and correctly follow installation procedures
• Works on PLC control systems for all plant equipment
• Maintain appropriate service and repair records
• Respond to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service
• Assist the engineering stock clerk in ordering critical electrical spare parts and ensuring accurate inventory information
• Safely shut down electrical systems and/or equipment to allow for inspections, renovations, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of process control instruments and related systems

  Essential Requirements:

• At least 3-5 years of industrial manufacturing experience
• Read and Interpret Electrical Diagram
• Knowledge of PLC Controls
• Must have a valid wireman’s license
• Willing to work on a shift basis
• Aware of workplace health and safety and lock out/ tag out regulations
• Have the drive, energy, and personality to work as part of a team
