CS01 – Commis Chef/Cooks Assistant
Job Description
- Prepare basic sauces, derivatives & omelette’s.
- Sanitize Fruits & Vegetables, prepare salads, garnishes and vegetables.
- Butchery – Trim/ Fillet/Dice Various Meat plus Skin and filet fish.
- Prepare toasted and plain sandwiches.
- Assemble Meals & monitor ready Pre-set /cart assembly as required as per specification.
- Carry out bulk makeup and supplementary items.
- Carry out Food Safety duties as directed: decanting, sort food items in the order of shelf life.
- Ensure the safety, security and efficiency of such operations, as well as compliance with the requirements of customer airlines and relevant authorities.
- Carry out any other additional tasks, as required.
Requirements
- Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent from a recognized institution followed by at least one (1) year’s related Cookery experience.
- Pastry experience would be an advantage.
