Background:
The University is seeking an experienced and visionary Director to lead the Division of Estates and Facilities. The purpose of this position is to manage all aspects of the University’s estate (land, property assets, capital projects and sustainable infrastructure development) and related physical resources and facilities to support the academic mission of the University in a safe, effective and efficient manner. The Director will be responsible for facilitating comprehensive, integrated long-term, physical resource planning for the University to enable the full potential of the University’s physical resources to be utilized in accordance with the overall objectives of the University. The Director will also be responsible for overseeing a dynamic response to unplanned facility management issues and developing, implementing, and monitoring divisional policies & procedures.
Person Specification:
Essential
- Postgraduate Qualification in a relevant area.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the field of project management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Expertise in negotiation, persuasion, and influence at both institutional and individual levels.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
